Family days out this spring

After a particularly cold and snowy winter, spring is finally here. It’s time to turn off the TV and get outside. If you’re stuck for things to do, here are some ideas to get you and your family out and about.

Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf – North London

Who doesn’t love a huge dinosaur? Located just north of London at the Borehamwood A1 exit, the Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf is a brilliantly fun way to spend your afternoon. Armed with nothing more than a ball and a putter, make you way around the eighteen holes of giant rocks and waterfalls, and watch out for being munched by the resident dinosaurs along the way. Museum of Science and Industry - Manchester

Running from the 30th March until the 15th April, the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry will be running it’s Easter at MSI: Space program. The MSI promises its activities and shows this Easter are packed with cosmic fun for all the family. The Mars Cars activity allows you to land your very own balloon-powered Mars Rover and see how far it will travel along the rocky roads of the red planet. One of the most exciting activities is the Space Descent Virtual Reality experience with British astronaut Tim Peake. Using the latest state-of-the-art Samsung Gear VR technology, you’ll get a 360 degree look inside the capsule and journey of Tim’s. The Space program is a fun and educational opportunity for you and your family to travel through time and space this Easter. Most of the events are free, but many need to be booked in advance.
